Guy McKenzie-Smith, Managing Director of Windsmith Energy Services
Mr. McKenzie-Smith brings to Windsmith, a wind energy construction and servicing company based in Vancouver, Canada, and more than 30 years of varied and extensive experience in construction including wind farms. Mr. McKenzie-Smith, was a principal of a UK based company and he was involved in starting numerous separate wind power projects in Europe and the Americas. These projects have involved his administration in Canada, the USA, England, Scotland, and Portugal constructing or servicing Enercon, Nordex, Siemens, Vestas, and EWT turbines. These projects have ranged from service of single turbines to the installation and erection of Europe’s largest single wind farm in Scotland.
In the course of carrying out these projects Mr. McKenzie-Smith and his network of experienced project management, and technicians have overcome a host of difficult construction challenges including remoteness, difficult access, steep terrain, inclement weather and less-ideal soil conditions.
Guy was educated in Vancouver, B.C. and St. Andrew’s Scotland.
Mike Leigh, Director of Business Strategy
Mike Leigh is the Director of Business Strategy and Corporate Development of WIndsmith Energy Services. He has extensive senior executive experience in both the public and private sector having worked in various capacities as a business consultant, executive responsible for program and strategic policy development, trade mission facilitation and international business development.
Key highlights of his career involved business consulting to small medium size enterprises, as a business owner , and as a business advisor and coach to business owners throughout North America and across various industry sectors . Mr. Leigh 's significant business knowledge and experience includes business performance and alignment, strategic partnerships and corporate strategy.
Mike Leigh is fluently bilingual (french) and is a graduate of Carleton University in Ottawa Ontario.
